Easy Filipino Spaghetti

This classic Filipino Spaghetti is made with sweet meat sauce. This is one of my favourite filipino dishes, it is easy to prepare and sure it's a hit!

- 1 lb spaghetti noodles
- 1 lb ground lean beef
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 pieces hotdogs cut diagonally
- 1 medium onion finely chopped
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 1 medium bell pepper seeded and finely chopped
- 2 cups tomato sauce
- 1½ cup banana ketchup
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- grated cheese
Making the sweet sauce
In a large sauce pan, add oil. Fry hotdogs for 1-2 minutes until lightly brown. Set it aside.
On the same pan, add oil. Sauté onion, garlic and bell pepper for 2-3 minutes until softened.
Add ground beef. Stirring occasionally, break into small pieces and cook for 5 minutes until brown. Stir in soy sauce.
Add tomato sauce and banana ketchup. Stir in sugar. Simmer for another 30 minutes until meat is fully cooked. Add cooked hotdogs. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
