- Mussels: Frozen mussels available in the store. Wash and drain the mussels thoroughly before baking.
- Cheddar Cheese: It can be substituted to Mozzarella cheese.
- Butter: Unsalted butter was used for this recipe. If you are using salted butter make sure to adjust the salt for seasoning.
- Garlic: Minced garlic, this will add more flavour. Add lots for extra for garlicky flavour.

How to make Chessy Buttered Tahong
Step 1: Place melted butter in a mixing bowl. Add scallions, minced garlic, salt and pepper. Mix everything together.
Step 2: Use a baking pan and arranged the mussels. Fill a spoonful of mixture on top of each mussels for flavour.
Step 3: Add cheddar cheese on top of each mussels.
Step 4: On a preheated 180 Celsius oven, bake Cheesy Tahong for 15-20 minutes or until cheese has melted.

For leftovers, transfer baked tahong in airtight container and refrigerate the cheesy baked tahong promptly. It's best to consume it within 2-3 days to ensure freshness.

- 2 stalks Scallions chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese grated
