Melon Juice
Ingredients
- 1 medium cantaloupe
- 4-5 cups water
- 1 cup sugar according to desired sweetness
Instructions
- Thoroughly wash the outer skin of the melon under running water to remove any dirt.
- Use a clean knife to cut the melon in half. Scoop out the seeds and inner pulp.
- In a bowl, place seeds and pulp with one cup of the water. Press spoon down on the pulp to extract as much juice as possible. Using a colander, strain juice and discard seed.
- Hold one half of the cantaloupe with the cut side facing up and use a fork to scrape the flesh in a downward motion. Start from one end of the cantaloupe and move towards the other end. Scoop the scraped flesh using spoon and set aside.
- In a pitcher, add the extracted juice, shredded melon, water and sugar. Stir until well combined and sugar dissolved. Adjust sugar accordingly .
- Chill the melon juice in the refrigerator or serve it immediately over ice.
